  1. I thought that it was, at least in part, British war time propaganda, apart from the fact that the British and the French used different measurements for the inch.

  2. Well and the fact that he was measured in French inches which were longer than English inches. The English papers didn’t convert his height into English inches while using his French inch nominal height. Sorry for grammar but I don’t think anyone cares about accuracy in history memes

  3. His valet measured him post mortem as 5’2″. It is often argued that this is in French Feet which were longer than British feet. However, Napoleon died on the British controlled island of st Helena 22 years after the French adopted the metric system.
