I’m sure the church will find a way to smuggle young schoolboys underneath the wall ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The church members will straddle the wall & look at me reading the Bible while promoting equality & call me a blasphemer; I will then proceed to LITERALLY throw the book at them!

I have many more…

School and science shouldn’t be on that side of the wall

Your country was founded on religious freedom ergo religion and state had to be separated for the good of freedom of religion. A country now so enthralled and entrenched in religion it beggars belief.

This wall will read, “Reason,” and “Not Reason,” when people realize they don’t need religion.

Psych! #1 argument against the wall is that it doesn’t work and is just to appease the masses. OP really arguing for church and state unity under the guise of anti-religion! /s

As a Catholic I thoroughly enjoy the separation of church and state in the US. It protects the faith as much as hinders it, so I don’t really mind. Plus I’d rather not my political leader be my spiritual leader if we still live in a democracy. (‘-_-)

I also hold the viewpoint that law should be based on the morals of society. Religion stands as a teacher of morals, but law need not follow religion, since the laws of man do not overrule the law of the Lord in eternal life. Basically, your choice to “sin” within the context of religion as much you want (free will and all that) provided that the sinning is still within the allowances of the law society sets.

Edit: this is not to mean I necessarily encourage what I view to be immoral behavior, just that it is within each person’s God (or nature if you’re atheist) given right to those things. Consequences of society for your actions are entirely separate from consequences of God.

What about religious schools?

Total fan of church and state, not crazy about this separation of church and science. I think more than driving scientists from religion, this idea of science or religion, it drives religious people away from science, which is unnecessary and harmful.

Would lurve a wall between the media and the government, too. I would lurve some news that isn’t embedded.

Not to be technical, but separating politics and religion, with overarching science in the legal system where it works like a champ.

Science and religion are not inherently in competition or contradictory. Though there does need to be a separation between church and state.
